The Seventh World Professional Forum «SOCHI-2023» will be held on Krasnodar Territory, Sirius urban village (the first in Russia federal area of this type). Sirius urban village is established in 2020 through separating the Imerti Lowlands from Adlersky District of Sochi resort city.

The «Barkhatnye sezony» Hotel-city will make the main Forum venue. It is the largest hotel complex in Europe and is among the five largest hotels in the world. Is comprises three blocks located on the first and second coastlines: «Yekaterininsky Kvartal», the «Semeiny Kvartal» and the «Sportivny Kvartal». The Barkhatnye sezony beach, among few Sochi beaches, is awarded with a Blue Flag, which guarantees ecological safety of the sea waters and beachfront territory.

Several sessions of library, information and other professional associations are planned to be held as well. The list of sections, round tables and side events will be continuously updated until finalized by the Forum Program Committee in April, 2023.

Call for papers

The Organizing Committee seeks original research and application-oriented papers, not previously presented elsewhere, which make new contribution to the above topics and correspond to the requirements below.

Papers are included into the Forum Program only if approved by the Program Committee Expert Group and provided that the registration fee has been paid (written guarantees will not be taken into consideration).

To be included into the Program, the paper title shall be sent to your regional coordinator (please see contact information below) no later than April 21, 2023.


The Program Committee has an exclusive right to make final decision on paper status: keynote paper, paper, communication, or poster paper, and to include it in an appropriate section, or to decline it.

Time for presentation: Open lectures — up to 30-40 minutes. Keynote papers — up to 20–25 minutes. Section and workshop papers — up to 15–20 minutes. Communications — up to 10 minutes.

Following the Forum, the Organizing Committee will publish the digital Proceedings. The Proceedings will have ISBN assigned to them. Each paper in the Proceedings will have UDC number and DOI assigned to them, an abstract in the English and Russian languages. The Proceedings will be available as open access web publication at the RNPLS&T website (, (scientific electronic library), and indexed in the Russian Index of Scientific Citation “RINTS” database and Crossref.

Paper full texts shall be sent to your regional coordinator. Deadline is July 14, 2023.

During the Forum, the participating libraries, associations, publishers, universities, companies can take the opportunity to present their products and services at the Exhibition.

Exhibition fee (stand rental) covers a desk, 2 chairs, a power socket, with no partitions, is 32,000 rubles.

. Exhibitors may organize special presentations of their products and services upon preliminary communication with the Organizing Committee.

Forum participation terms

The registration fee for a full participant covers:

– Participation in the Forum professional program including access to the Exhibition

– A bag with information materials

– Forum participant’s badge

– Full-board accommodation* throughout the Forum official dates

– Participation in the Forum opening and closing ceremonies and receptions

– Group transfer on the official dates of arrival (May 27, 28) and departure
(June 3)

– One-day tour (to be offered later on via the Forum website), and other social and cultural events.

*accommodation only (no meals) option is available

You are kindly requested to register online as no later than April 15, 2023, as well as to pay the registration fee. Please note that after the above date, the Organizing Committee will be unable to guarantee that the requested room category is available for your booking.

Accommodation fee (three meals a day included (FB)) is fixed, depends on the room category and covers the whole stay from noon May 27 through noon June 3, 2023, irrespective of the actual dates of arrival and departure within this period.

Children are permitted to accompany parents participating in the Forum. Please note though that children of the age of 14 and under are not admitted into Forum auditoria and the exhibition area if unattended by their parents. Children are not admitted to the evening events (receptions, fourchettes on the occasions of the Forum opening/closing).
