The International Ecological Forum “The World after Chernobyl Disaster: 20 Years Later” will be held for the first time in the framework of the “Crimea-2006” International Conference. The Forum seeks to apprehend the Chernobyl accident as a humanitarian catastrophe on an international scale and establish common trends in the information policy aimed at the catastrophe mitigation.

The Forum is supported by the Committee on Ecology of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly and will be chaired by the Committee Chairman, Mr. Grachev.

Among other coorganizers there are Bryansk Region Administration, representatives of Ukrainian and Belarusian government and information agencies.

We welcome papers and presentations on the role of information in the Chernobyl disaster mitigation.
