Libcom is an innovative playground for new ideas and projects in library, information and education fields. Its specific topics include:

  • digital and Internet technologies in library and information practice;

  • system and network integration of library and information resources;

  • innovation in education technologies;

  • legal aspects of libraries and information providers practice;

  • digital libraries and digital information resources.

Libcom-2012 main conference program will primarily be based on invited speakers’ papers as well as special workshops, master classes and discussion groups. Additional papers may be accepted by the Program Committee for poster sessions.

You are invited to submit full text of your proposed paper in the electronic form (as an attachment to email) according to the following guidelines:

  1. The deadline is October 25, 2012.

  2. Full text should not exceed 6 A4 pages.

  3. The heading should include the title of your paper, followed by names and affiliations of the author(s).

  4. Papers should be sent to sigla@gpntb.ru or kv@gpntb.ru

The Conference is accompanied by an exhibition featuring library and information IT solutions, digital information and resources, publishers’ products, library furnishing and equipment, and education technologies.

The Exhibition stand rental fee is $500 USD.

Conference participants may take advantage of a social and cultural program including:

a local sightseeing tour

a concert

intellectual show “What, Where, When in Library, Information and Publishing Space”

an informal party on the occasion of the Conference closing with live music.

A pool, gym, and sauna as well as health treatment will be available to the Conference participants during their free hours.

Registration and accommodation

The Conference registration fee is $250 and covers:

participation in the Conference professional program and admittance to the exhibition

Conference proceedings and information materials

transfer on the dates of arrival and departure

organizational expenses for Russian visa support

admittance to the Conference opening and closing events and social program

Accommodation fee for the whole stay (four days including three meals a day) is as follows (prices per person):
