The Third World Professional Forum «Crimea-2017» will be traditionally held in Sudak, an ancient town on the Crimean south-eastern coast. It is a climatic sea resort which main industry is wine-making.

The Forum events main site is located in “Sudak” Tourist and Health Center, the town’s largest recreation site located in the park on the Black Sea shore, in a picturesque bay beneath the majestic Sudak castle of the 14th-15th centuries.

The Conference program will be built around the following topics:

  • Other important problems and themes.

The Third Museum Assembly

«To preserve traditions, to implement innovations»

The Assembly will comprise the following topics

  • Memorial and literary museums

  • Libraries in museums and museums in libraries

  • Museum informatization and virtual museums

  • Libraries and museums in the single space of information and culture

  • Cultural heritage preservation

  • Federal museums for regional museums

  • Visitors in museums: Modern sociocultural communication

The XIth International Symposium

«Universities of Culture and Arts in the Global Education Space»

The Symposium will comprise the following topics

  • New generation of education standards

  • Digital resources and e-libraries for education in culture

  • Professional training and management control, and others

 

Also the sectoral conference “Book publishing and libraries: Vectors of interaction” will be also held. For the first time within the Forum, we are planning a separate event for archival professionals and archival information users: “Archives in the modern information space”.

More annual conferences and meetings of library, information, and other professional associations and organizations are also expected to be held. The list of sections, round tables, workshops and additional events will be continuously updated and finalized by the Program Committee in April 2017.

Call for papers

The Organizing Committee seeks original research and application-oriented papers, not previously presented elsewhere, which make new contribution to the above topics and correspond with the listed requirements.

Please follow the guidelines below to prepare and submit your paper:

1. The heading shall include the paper title, followed by the names and affiliations of the author(s) and the person to present the paper; city and country.

2. The abstract should be a precis of your paper. The abstract shall not exceed 700 characters (including spaces).

3. The paper shall be in digital format. Full text shall be submitted in Word for Windows or ASCII format, charts, photos and screenshots in JPG. The paper (including abstract, pictures, appendice, etc.) shall not exceed 10 A4 pages.

4. Papers should be sent to your regional coordinator (please see contact information below). Deadline is May 1, 2017.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject papers not corresponding with the present guidelines.

The Conference proceedings are to be published on CD-ROM and as Internet-publications.

The Program Committee exercises its exclusive right to take final decision on paper status: keynote paper, paper, communication, or poster, and to include it in an appropriate section or to decline it.

Time for presentation: Keynote (basic) papers – up to 20-25 minutes. Section and workshop papers – up to 15-20 minutes. Communications - up to 10 minutes.

Papers are included for publication into the Conference Proceedings only by approval of the Program Committee Expert Group provided that the registration fees are paid (written guarantees will not be taken into consideration).

FORUM LANGUAGES: ENGLISH, RUSSIAN.

Simultaneous or consecutive interpretation will be provided.

 

Exhibition

Libraries, associations, publishers, universities, companies take the opportunity to present their products and services at the Crimea 2017 Exhibition.

Exhibition fee (stand rental) covers a desk, 2 chairs, partitions, border with company’s name and a power socket:

2m х 2m (standard) – 400 USD 4m х 2m (extended) – 800 USD

Computers, other equipment and furniture rental are available on a preliminary request at additional charge. Exhibitors may organize special presentations of their products and services upon preliminary communication with the Organizing committee.

Participation terms

Forum registration fee is $250 for a full participant and $100 for an accompanying person. Please note that as a registered participant you may be accompanied by up to 2 persons.

The registration fee for a full participant covers:

– Participation in the Forum professional program including visiting the Exhibition

– A bag with Forum proceedings on CD-ROM and information materials

– Forum participant’s badge

– Participation in the Forum opening and closing ceremonies and receptions

– Transfer from Simferopol Airport to Sudak and back on the dates of arrival (June 3, 4) and departure (June 10- 11)

– One-day tour (to be offered in late May at the Forum website) and other social and cultural events.

Accommodation fee (including three meals a day) is fixed, depends on the room category and covers the whole stay from noon June 3 through noon June 11, 2017, irrespective of the actual dates of arrival and departure within this period.

Accommodation and registration fees include VAT.

Payment is executed in accordance with invoices of Organization Committee only.

PLEASE NOTE: The registration and accommodation fees is not refundable after May 3, 2017

You are kindly requested to register online no later than April 25, 2017, as well as to pay the registration and accommodation fees. Please note that after the above date, the Organizing Committee will be unable to guarantee that the requested room category is available for your booking.

Children are allowed.

Please note that children of the age of 14 and younger are not permitted into Forum auditoria and the exhibition area unattended by their parents.
